JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Generalist will work with managers to create job postings, recruiting plans, and assist with interviewing and hiring of personnel. This position will also assist in collecting and reviewing employee data for accuracy and reporting.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors practices, and other sources.
- Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Identifies and recommends reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics.
- Based on metrics and analysis, makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, to motivate and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to maintain legal compliance.
- Facilitates implementation of new training, development, recruiting, and other related initiatives.
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
- Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- May conduct or assist with HR audits and maintain records.
- Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
- May assist HR leadership with staffing, recruiting, and departmental budgets.
- May assist with performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation processes.
- Assists with compliance of state payroll quarterly reporting.
- Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.
- Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required;
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
At least three years of human resource experience required.
Experience with recruitment, employee benefits, and/or equal opportunity compliance highly preferred.
MINIMUM CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATION
PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
This position will work remotely 8am-5pm Eastern Standard Time.
