Job Summary:
A Director in the dietary department in charge of managing staff to achieve high levels of performance and exceptional results, in the areas of food sanitation, food quality and delivery
Essential Qualifications:
- Must meet all personnel requirements as set forth by the home.
- Must have at least one year’s experience as a food service supervisor.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
- Must be neat in appearance at all times.
- Must be able to perform tasks on time – despite frequent interruptions.
- Performs other assigned and related duties as required.
- Maintains a clean and orderly department.
- Must be serve safe certified
Essential Functions:
- Manages all aspects of the daily shift operation either opener, middle, or closer
- Assists with catering
- Performs 24 hour report
- Ensures proper sanitation
- Ensures quality food
- Ensures tray line operates to standards
- Ensures dish room standards are followed
- Ensures kosher laws are followed
- Presents confident, professional, “can do image”
- Manages staff effectively
- Provides, coaching and or disciplinary actions, evaluations as assigned
- Proper guest relations particular in interactions with other department.
- Good problem solving skills
- Prepares for and sets up any special functions.
- Performs competency exams on staff
