What are the responsibilities and job description for the 25-26 KGHS - Criminal Justice Teacher position at King George County Schools?
Position Open Until Filled.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implements instructional programs that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students using appropriate instructional materials
- Develops lesson plans and assessments to effectively meet student needs and motivate students to be successful
- Maintains safe and orderly environment
- Communicates with parents/guardians
- Maintains complete and accurate student records
- Collaborates with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members
- Monitors and assesses student achievement
- Attends ongoing professional learning and meetings
- Models professional, moral, and ethical standards in all interactions and job functions
- Performs related duties as assigned by the building administrator(s) in accordance with the school/division policies and practices
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure in Criminal Justice
- Individuals with a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the law enforcement/criminal justice field may be eligible for a Technical Professional license. Please email Michelle Gordon at mgordon@kgcs.k12.va.us for information.
- Applicant with teaching experience must have an acceptable rating from previous employer
- Ability to effectively use and integrate technology
24-25 Salary: $50,500-$95,672
25-26 Salary: TBD
Educational Supplements:
Master's: 7% of base salary
BA 15: $750
Teacher National Board Certification: $2,000
Doctorate: $2000
Additional Information:
This is a 10-month/200 day position
