Job Title: Shuttle Bus Driver
Department: Transportation
Job Summary:
We are searching for a lively, highly organized shuttle bus driver to ensure the safe transport of our passengers. Drives minibus or van to transport clients, trainees, or company personnel; drives vehicle from individual or central loading area to social services or rehabilitation center, training location, job site, or other destination according to assigned schedule. To be successful as a shuttle bus driver, you should demonstrate strict adherence to schedules and transport-related legislation. An extraordinary shuttle bus driver will be able to diagnose and remedy basic mechanical issues that may arise.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
- This driver may assist disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle, secure passengers wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip; may operate radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service, clean and/or service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories, keep records of trips and/or behavior of passengers, and perform other duties when not driving such as, custodial and building maintenance tasks.
- Collating and editing transport schedules based on passengers' needs.
- Arriving at collection points prior to departure times.
- Checking that passengers disembark at the correct destinations, and in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that the shuttle bus is fueled, well-maintained, and presentable at all times.
- Observing all relevant traffic and safety laws.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Certified to transport individuals via shuttle bus.
- Previous experience driving groups of people.
- Outstanding knowledge of applicable transport and safety codes.
- First Aid training is preferred.
- Excellent route planning abilities.
- Great improvisational skills.
- Amicable and optimistic disposition.
- Working knowledge of pertinent car maintenance and restoration techniques.
Ability to work flexible hours. Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of related experience required
- Requires 1-2 years experience or equivalent training.
- Must be able to read and write English,
- Valid Commercial Driver's License with a P Endorsement, and an acceptable driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical demands include intermittent sitting, standing, and walking, and occasional bending reaching and lifting.
Special Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be able to successfully pass as required a federal, state, or local government's background investigation
