Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Commercial and Residential Real Estate Attorney. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial & residential real estate law and will be responsible for providing legal guidance on various real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, the ability to conduct thorough legal research, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support on commercial & residential real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to commercial & residential real estate.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as Westlaw to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and other attorneys to develop effective strategies for real estate transactions.
- Stay updated on changes in laws affecting commercial & residential real estate, including Tribal law regulations and securities law.
- Assist in litigating disputes related to commercial & residential real estate matters when necessary.
- Support clients in estate planning as it relates to real estate holdings.
- Maintain accurate records of all legal documents and correspondence.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the GA state bar in good standing.
- Proven experience in commercial & residential real estate law; experience in personal injury law is a plus.
- Strong skills in writing and drafting legal documents with attention to detail.
- Proficient in conducting legal research using Westlaw or similar platforms.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
- Familiarity with legal administrative tasks related to real estate transactions is preferred.
- Experience with Tribal law regulations is a nice-to-have but not required.
