QUALITY CONTROL CHEMIST (Rotating)
Location- Norwalk, CT
King Industries is actively looking to hire a Quality Control (QC) Chemist (Rotating) within our Quality Control department. Ideal candidates should have or be pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, as well as a minimum of one year’s experience in a chemical laboratory or equivalent. The candidate must have a familiarity with classic wet chemical and instrumental techniques and should be willing to rotate between three different shifts (2 months on 1st, 2 months on 2nd and 2 months on 3rd).

Skills Required:

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or related field.
- Familiarity with classic wet chemical and instrumental techniques.
- Experience with computers and spreadsheets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Rotate between three different shifts (2 months on 1st, 2 months on 2nd and 2 months on 3rd).
- Analysis of raw materials, and in-process and final products for compliance with requirements.
- Participate in Reproducibility and Repeatability (R&R) studies.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment including tracking logs.
- Provide support in solving process problems and customer complaints.
- Assist in developing and updating procedures, instructions, and test methods.
- Maintain orderliness of QC laboratory, and washing glassware as needed.
- Assist with waste Disposal of QC generated materials.
- Coordinate shift priorities with Production Shift Leader.
- Manage sample retain program.
- Track product samples being tested in other departments.
- Participate in company safety and other training programs.
- Identify and record System problems.
- Overtime may be required to meet production deadlines.
- Ability to perform basic physical tasks such as lifting 50lbs.
- Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests.
- Assist in the continuous growth of the Quality Department.
- Participate in company wide effort to promote quality assurance in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, & OSHA 18001.
- Maintain a general knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHA 18001 requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57,000.00 - $64,000.00 per year
