Banquet Porter, Part Time
Rate of Pay: $18.30/hour
Opportunity Awaits on the beautiful Island of Hawaii... King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott currently has an opening for a talented Part Time Banquet Porter to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience.
Brief Summary of Job: Sets up and breaks down all banquet and meeting rooms as well as stores all banquet equipment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
____ Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing
personalized service to guests.
____ Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
____ Set up and move tables, chairs, and other equipment for the staging of banquets and/or meetings.
____ Keeps the equipment in good condition.
____ Ensure store rooms and banquet rooms are clean and tidy.
____ Report any missing/found articles to management.
____ Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best
overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
____ Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Qualifications:
Knowledge/Education/Experience: One (1) year experience preferred. High school or equivalent education. TB clearance card required.
Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements: Must be able to communicate in English with guests, management and team members to their understanding. Ability to provide legible written communications. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.
