FACILITY ASSISTANT
PURPOSE
The Facility Assistant position has the primary responsibility of minor maintenance, cleaning and upkeep of all campus buildings and ground.

- Uphold the policies and procedures as outlined in the Policy Governance manual and the Operations Manual of the Congregation
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- As a partner with the Facility Manager, this person must be able to take initiative with the grounds and facility and lead as needed
- As a Facility Assistant, this person must have strong organizational abilities and customer service skills. The Facility Assistant should exhibit strong customer service skills and have the ability to remain professional in difficult situations
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED and 1-3 years of experience in a related field
- Self-starter, initiative and positive attitude
- Regular timely attendance during stated or negotiated hours (Monday 12:00-4:00PM, Friday 12:00-4:00PM, Saturday as needed, Sunday 7:30AM-12:30PM)
- Available to work non-traditional hours such as nights and weekends as needed
- Available for emergencies
- Knowledge of minor maintenance and basic cleaning skills
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds; must have complete physical mobility to support building and grounds activities
- Acceptable background checks for criminal and credit history are required
RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to the Facility Manager
- Interacts with members, attendees, visitors, and the community at large
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain upkeep of grounds performing basic functions related to cleaning
- Perform minor maintenance on facility plumbing, electrical and floors
- Prepare facility for work and meeting needs (includes setting up and breaking down of tables and chairs, setting up or taking down other equipment, managing access to the building)
- Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain assigned areas. May require movement of cabinets, boxes, furniture and equipment to clean areas
- Gather and dispose of trash, waste, recycle materials
- Using ladders, dust, wash and/or perform maintenance on walls, ceilings, equipment, and light fixtures
- Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 16 per week
