SORTING TECH

Day shift: 6:45am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday.

• Sort Materials: Separate plastic into specific groups based on type, size, or other categories.
• Run Machines: Set up, use, and watch machines for processing materials.
• Adjust Machines: Change machine settings for different materials and sizes.
• Load Machines: Place materials into machines correctly to avoid jams.
• Clean Machines: Do simple cleaning and maintenance. Tell maintenance staff if repairs are needed.
• Check Quality: Regularly check that the machine output meets quality standards.
• Follow Safety Rules: Always use protective gear (PPE), follow safety guidelines, and report any hazards.
• Record Information: Keep simple records of production numbers and machine issues.

Additional Tasks:

• Fix Small Issues: Clear jams and make small adjustments to machines as needed.
• Improve Processes: Help make the workflow faster and reduce waste.
• Drive Forklifts: Move materials safely around the workplace using a forklift.
• Organize Materials: Label and store materials correctly, keeping the area neat and safe.
• Check Materials: Ensure materials are correct and undamaged before use.
• Teamwork: Communicate and work with coworkers and supervisors.
• Be Reliable: Show up on time and work your scheduled hours.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift Certification through King Plastic Corp required
• Position requires full shifts in an environment with extreme temperatures (>100 in summer months).
• Position requires full shifts in an environment with exposure to noise and dust.
