What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Technician III position at King Ranch Ag & Turf?
The Service Technician III will perform advanced diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural, lawn & garden turf and construction equipment. The Service Technician III is categorized as such because he/she has mastered the advanced knowledge of a John Deere service technician. Their purpose is to continue learning the business and gain the knowledge and experience necessary to further their career.
What to Expect in the Role:
- Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural, lawn & garden turf and construction equipment.
- Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
What We Will Be Needing From You:
- Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
- Ability to properly diagnose and repair 2-cycle and gas engine products including Briggs and Stratton, Kawasaki , Honda, Echo, and Stihl.
- Strong ability to read through electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Strong ability to utilize Service Advisor program to accurately diagnose and repair engine, aftertreatment, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
- Accounts for all reported time in Service Delivery and for all material used in performing assigned duties.
- Support management in the pursuit of corporate policies, plans, goals, and long-term objectives.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds without assistance.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
