What to Expect in the Role
- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of Customer Service.
- Responsible for the hiring and training of staff.
- Analyze and measure business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.
- Maintain adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
- Handle questions or complaints and offers solutions.
- Ensure that shipments are delivered in a timely manner. Track and trace the process.
- Maintain store-level compliance with Company standards of safety, security, facility maintenance, postings/notifications and other administrative duties through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-through and audits, etc.
- Comparison shop and report results; share information with Region Manager and make appropriate price adjustments.
- Review department/store trends and recommend and initiate changes for maximizing goals and objectives.
- Train and develop assistant manager in all aspects of the business; direct and monitor training and development for all store personnel.
- Ensure that inventory is handled, stored and processed to minimize loss or damage.
- Ensure maintenance, cleaning and store appearance is up the company standards.
- Ability to work a full-time schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work the hours necessary to open and/or close the store.
- Ability to process information/merchandise through in house system and POS register system.
- Retail management experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or management.
- Basic math ability is required. (Add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and area.
- Excellent observation and analytical abilities.
- Ability to make the staff work as a team by portraying good leadership qualities.
- Excellent presence of mind and ability to make quick decisions.
- Ability to handle stress.
- Excellent troubleshooting capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
