Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. Duties
- Perform custodial duties including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining restrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Carry out floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming to ensure surfaces are clean and well-maintained.
- Conduct industrial cleaning in designated areas as required, adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Support residential painting projects when needed to enhance the appearance of facilities.
- Act as a porter by managing waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the premises.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance is a plus.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work standards.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
