What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Care Worker (Assistant Family Teacher) position at King's Home?
King's Home, a Christ centered ministry, has immediate opening for a youth care worker. This is a full time position. Schedule would include some late afternoon to late evenings (2:30 pm to 10:30 pm) and some weekends both Saturday and Sunday approximately 12 hour shifts (work schedule to be distributed appropriately on these weeks). Could include overnights and holidays.
The incumbent is responsible for modeling appropriate behaviors, teaching basic life skills and transporting when necessary.
Applicants must have clear driving record (no speeding tickets 15 miles or more over the speed limit), current driver license, clear criminal background, high school diploma/GED required. Position is full time and eligible for full time benefits.
For over 40 years King’s Home has been home to hundreds of youth, women, and children seeking refuge, hope, and help from abuse, neglect, abandonment, homelessness, and other difficult and impoverished conditions and circumstances.
