What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Liability Claims Specialist | Employment Practices position at KING'S INSURANCE STAFFING LLC?
Our client is seeking to add a Senior Professional Liability Claims Specialist with an emphasis on handling Employment Practices Liability claims. This person would be responsible for handling complex litigated and non-litigated claims, including but not limited to, discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination losses. This includes analyzing and resolving claims, litigation management, reinsurance reporting, and claim disposition.
- Coverage analysis and letter writing; investigation; evaluation; reserve adequacy and timeliness; diary maintenance; management of defense and coverage counsel.
- Identifying and evaluating coverage issues, preparing coverage letters and analysis, retaining and managing coverage counsel through trial, and developing and managing strategy for complex coverage litigation.
- Claim presentations, both written and oral; obtain authority and/or formulate appropriate action plans on difficult claims.
- Attending arbitrations, mediations, trials.
Requirements:
- 7 years of EPL and/or Commercial Liability claims handling experience
- Must hold an active Connecticut Adjuster’s License
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience handling Employment Practices Liability claims, highly preferred
- Strong litigation management skills and ability to direct defense counsel
Salary/Benefits:
