Our client, an A-rated E&S Insurance Carrier, has been experiencing tremendous growth within their Underwriting Department and is seeking to add an Experienced Inland Marine Underwriter to join their Excess and Surplus Underwriting Division. This person will play a pivotal role in assessing and underwriting inland marine risks. Extensive experience in the industry will be crucial in developing and managing a profitable book of business, ensuring that our underwriting practices are both competitive and compliant.
- Evaluate and underwrite inland marine insurance policies, including but not limited to builders' risk, contractors' equipment, and cargo coverage.
- Utilize your expertise to assess complex and non-standard risks, providing accurate and competitive quotes.
- Develop and manage a profitable book of business by maintaining a balance between premium growth and loss control. Monitor portfolio performance, identify trends, and adjust underwriting strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with other underwriters, actuaries, and product development teams to design and refine inland marine insurance products. Ensure that policies are comprehensive, competitive, and align with market needs.
- Ensure all underwriting activities comply with company guidelines and regulatory requirements. Stay informed about changes in regulations and market conditions affecting inland marine insurance.
