Our client, an A-rated Insurance Carrier, is seeking to add a Claims Assistant to their team to help cover the NYC/Northern New Jersey territory. As a Workers' Compensation Claims Assistant, you will support the claims handling team in the management and resolution of workers' compensation claims. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist claims adjusters in managing a portfolio of workers' compensation claims.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain claim files and documentation.
- Correspond with claimants, employers, and healthcare providers.
- Process and monitor payments and reimbursements.
- Ensure compliance with all state regulatory requirements.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments and meetings.
- Prepare reports and provide support for claims reviews.
- Update and maintain accurate data in claims management systems.
Qualifications:

2 to 4 years experience in workers' compensation or insurance claims processing is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with database management.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
