Our client is seeking to add a PIP Claims Examiner to their New Jersey team. This person will be responsible for managing moderate to complex Personal Injury Protection claims throughout New Jersey. This role requires a deep understanding of auto insurance laws, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage litigation processes. This person will have the ability to work Remotely or Hybrid out of their New Jersey office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and evaluate New Jersey PIP claims to include litigated files.
- Initiate and manage litigation procedures when settlement cannot be amicably reached.
- Work closely with legal counsel to develop strategies for effectively handling claim disputes.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys to resolve claims in a manner that is fair and within policy limits.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of claims, litigation processes, and settlements.
- Communicate regularly with all stakeholders, including claimants, attorneys, and internal teams, to provide updates and gather necessary information.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in handling New Jersey PIP claims, with a strong focus on uninsured and underinsured motorist claims.
- Experience in litigation management and working with legal professionals is preferred.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Insurance, or a related field.
- Proficient in claims management software and Microsoft Office.
