Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a home or community setting. Your responsibilities will include personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met.
- Monitor and record vital signs as necessary.
- Observe and report changes in the client's condition or behavior.
- Administer CPR and first aid when required.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure safety during movement.
- Support hospice care when needed, providing comfort to clients and their families.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as necessary.
Skills
- Bilingual or Spanish speaking a plus as the family is Spanish speaking, speaks some English.
- Client is a child, so caregiver would need to be comfrotable working with children.
- Experience in home care or senior care is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques that cater to dietary restrictions.
- Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to changes.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills to detect changes in patient conditions effectively.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Familiarity with hospice care principles is a plus but not mandatory.
