Experienced COMPOUNDING Pharmacy Technician
Murphy-based independent pharmacy is seeking a motivated, professional individual to fill the role of Compounding Pharmacy Technician. The applicant MUST have at least one year experience as a compounding technician in a pharmacy. A mature, friendly, professional individual is required to assume this position in the pharmacy while working under the direction of the pharmacist-in-charge.
More details are as follows:
General Definition: The purpose of the compounding pharmacy technician is to prepare non-sterile compounded prescriptions under the direction of staff pharmacists, in compliance with department policies and procedures.
General Technician Responsibilities
a) Compounds ointments, creams, oral solutions and other medications.
b) Adheres with regulatory guidelines for documenting pharmacy compounding
c) Fills, labels and appropriately packages medications and pharmaceuticals.
d) Assists in maintaining workflow in an appropriate, productive, and prioritized manner.
e) Accurately assembles medications, pharmaceuticals, and supplies for pharmacist to check.
f) Restocks medication following fills in appropriate location and assesses stock for reordering needs.
g) Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with local, state, federal, and company regulations
h) Maintain an awareness of developments in the community and pharmaceutical fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrate them into practice
i) Assist other pharmacy technicians
j) Housekeeping and Material Handling
