In business for over 20 years and growing, King Salmon Processing, Inc. is one facet of multiple small family owned and operated entities that are vertically integrated which include, seasonal operations in the remote region of Bristol Bay, Alaska of both commercial salmon fishing and salmon processing facility. We catch, process, and directly sell salmon wholesale and retail via ecommerce direct to consumers @ WildAlaskaSalmonAndSeafood.com.
We are seeking 15 people to join our team and returning staff for the 2024 summer season in our small seafood processing facility. We take great pride in the handling of our fishing and processing crew to deliver the highest quality finished wild salmon product available. Work on our assembly line includes processing, blast freezing, packaging, and preparing both fresh and frozen shipments.
- Job Type: Full-time, Temporary, Contract. This is a seasonal non-benefited job.
- Season / Work term is 7 days p/week for approx. 45 days straight from mid-June – early August.
- All room and board included.
- Long hours, up to 80-115 hours per week during peak season.
- Pay is negotiable based on skill level, work performance/quality and attitude.
- Pay Rate: $15.00 – 18.00 p/hour OT.
Tasks / Requirements
- Able to follow directions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Follow food safety protocols and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Operate food processing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Must get along well with others in a close living/working environment. Bunkhouse living with minimal privacy.
- Good physical, mental and emotional health.
- Able to lift to 50 lbs.
- Able to bend, squat, lift and stand up to 16 hours per day.
- Work availability is assumed 7 days per week, 24/7 for the entire time unless otherwise notified.
- Must be able to work outdoors in the elements, including cold, damp conditions.
- Paid only for days worked, no sick days, etc.
- NO ALCOHOL, DRUGS OR GUNS ALLOWED ON LIVING OR WORKING PREMISES!!

- All workers are hired as W-2 Employees
- Must be able to provide transportation to and from the hiring point of Seattle, WA.
You are responsible for confirming transportation to the hiring point of Seattle, WA. From that point King Salmon Processing, Inc. arranges all air transportation from Seattle, WA to our location in King Salmon, AK. (This is the town where we are located) All transportation and room and board are included upon arrival.
