What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Coordinator position at King & Spalding LLP?
We are looking for a Human Resources Coordinator based in our Atlanta, GA office to assist with recruiting, new employee orientation, events and special projects as assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer, Director of Human Resources, Director of HR Operations and Director of Benefits.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure confidentiality of all Human Resources matters.
Answer inquiries from firm personnel regarding policies and procedures, using discretion and judgment in providing information; escalate questions and issues as appropriate.
Maintain confidential employee personnel records and update employee information in Workday; compile reports and analyze data.
Verify employment information for current and former employees.
Assist with immigration matters including maintaining files and monitoring critical deadlines.
Assist with coordination of annual reviews and appropriate documentation.
Manage invoices for payment in the ChromeRiver system.
Assist in the Business Services recruitment process.
Initiate employment offer letters, coordinate employee start dates and initiate and review background reports; obtain employment references and certifications/licensures as applicable.
May be required to assist the background check vendor in completing employment/education verifications.
Work with the Conflicts department to ensure conflicts are cleared on all prospective attorneys and paralegals.
Schedule orientation for all new partners and employees; prepare orientation packets consisting of all pertinent new hire forms and benefit materials; present HR information at orientation.
Actively participate in the Firm’s Service Excellence Initiative; Assist in departure process; include exit interview forms and documents to communicate final pay and PTO accruals.
Coordinate and plan HR events.
Assist with other duties and projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree.
Four years of experience in a comparable position with a law firm or professional services firm preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational abilities.
Must be capable of handling many tasks simultaneously and working under pressure.
Ability to work with a high degree of independence.
Ability to exercise good judgment in the evaluation of varied recruitment and other situations.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with attorneys, employees, and job applicants.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
OTHER:
Availability to work overtime as needed.
Salary : $47,000 - $67,000
