What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Business Intake Analyst position at King & Spalding?

We are seeking a New Business Intake Analyst that will interact extensively with the submitting lawyer and legal practice assistant on new business intake requests. They must be knowledgeable of the firm’s new business intake policies and process, as well as understanding how to read the firm’s conflict report.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data entry and analysis.
Reviews and proofs the data entered in the NBI forms, compares the names on the forms with the terms searched for conflicts, modifies data as needed, and determines whether there are issues that require additional conflicts searches or will need to be returned to the submitting lawyer or escalated to the Business Review Committee team.
Interacts with the Finance Department regarding billing information.
Reviews conflict reports for new matters and determines if Business Review Committee approval is required before opening or reactivating matters.
Proofs the data on the NBI forms prior to pushing to the LegalKEY database and proofs the new record.
Updates a matter when new names are added after it is open or if changes are needed to the matter name or attorneys of record.
Creates conflict alert notices.
Runs reports from the LegalKEY database and NBI workflow system upon request.
Closes matters.
Reactivates closed matters.
Opens matters outside of the NBI workflow when required for bulk openings.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to multi-task.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Proficient with reviewing and analyzing data.
Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team.
Undergraduate degree preferred.
3 years of data entry or administrative assistant experience preferred.
JOB CONDITIONS
Overtime may occasionally be required. All overtime must be pre-approved.
Considerable time spent using a computer terminal and phone.

Pay Transparency Range:
California: $54,300 - $88,800
Colorado: $54,300 - 81,400
New York: $59,200 - $88,800
Washington, D.C.: $56,700 - $85,100
