Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SOUTHERN BAPTIST Pastor (open to bi-vocational or full time) to lead our congregation in spiritual growth and community outreach. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a deep understanding of Christian teachings. This role involves providing guidance, support, and counseling to individuals and families, particularly during times of crisis or bereavement. The Pastor will also be responsible for planning and leading church events, fostering a welcoming environment for all members of the community.

Responsibilities

• Educate the congregation on biblical teachings and principles through sermons, Bible studies, and workshops.
• Provide bereavement support to families experiencing loss, offering comfort and guidance during difficult times.
• Manage crises within the church community through effective crisis intervention strategies.
• Facilitate conflict management among congregants to promote harmony and understanding.
• Communicate regularly with church members to address their spiritual needs and concerns.
• Offer hospice care support to individuals facing terminal illness, ensuring they receive spiritual comfort.
• Provide Christian counseling services to individuals and families seeking guidance in their lives.
• Present engaging sermons that inspire and motivate the congregation during worship services.
• Plan and organize church events that foster community engagement and spiritual growth.

Requirements

• A Masters degree in Theology, Divinity, or Ministry from a Southern Baptist seminary is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
• Experience in crisis management, conflict resolution, and providing bereavement support is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to educate others in Christian teachings and principles.
• A compassionate approach towards hospice care and counseling is essential.
• Proven experience in event planning within a church or community setting is an asset.
• Must be committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive church environment for all members.
