We're hiring a Project Development Associate to join the team at a leading IPP. The firm is a prominent owner and operator of renewable energy projects across the United States, managing a substantial portfolio of clean energy initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee projects from mid-stage development through financing, construction, and into commercial operation.
- Manage construction activities in collaboration with internal and external technical and field support teams.
- Balance and prioritize competing demands, delegating effectively to internal and external resources.
- Address and resolve technical, legal, commercial, and other issues as they arise.
- Supervise external consultants, such as those in environmental, civil, or electrical engineering fields, as needed.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including landowners, permitting bodies, financing entities, and utility partners.
- Coordinate with internal teams—such as project development, engineering, procurement, construction, legal, finance, and asset management—to ensure alignment and clear communication.
Requirements:
- Candidates should have 2 years experience in a similar role
- Experience in the power or renewable energy sector—particularly in solar project development, construction, or asset management—is a significant advantage.
- A solid understanding of renewable energy technologies, industry regulations, and best practices is critical.
- The role requires moderate travel for site visits and meetings with construction teams and local stakeholders.
- Experience with contract negotiation and management—such as power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, construction contracts, and equipment supply deals—is a plus.
Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
