What are the responsibilities and job description for the School-Based Clinician position at Kingdom East Unified Union School District?
Kingdom East School District is seeking a 1.0 or 2 part-time School-Based Clinicians assigned to work in our Concord and Lunenburg schools. The candidate will join a Kingdom East Clinical Mental Health Team of five other clinicians. The important and critical work of the school-based clinician includes preventative models, intervention for specific diagnoses, special education services, 504 services, Educational Support Team services and other models of layered school supports. The candidates will be responsible for providing individual and family therapy and development of treatment plans, psychosocial evaluations and assessments, behavior planning, family work and consultation within the school setting with consistent opportunities for collaboration with teachers, school administrators and the Kingdom East mental health team.
The candidate monitors and implements multi-tiered, research-based educational preventative supports and responses to students, including behavioral and mental health services to address school, family and student needs. The candidate must have excellent communication, networking, and organizational skills and will join the Kingdom East team of district school-based clinicians, school psychologists, school-to-home coordinators, school counselors and school nurses. Clinical Masters degree required; OPR licensure required. We support clinical supervision hours.
Enthusiasm and love of working with children is required. Kingdom East School District is located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have choice and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools -- Lyndon Institute or St.
Johnsbury Academy -- or another high school of their choosing.We are located about 3 hours from Boston, Montreal and Portland, ME.
