Kingdom East School District seeks a dynamic, high quality World Language Teacher to join our schools. This teacher must plan, organize, and implement a curriculum that explores a world language, history and culture. Integration of multimedia technology, texts and conversation are expected. Experience with collaborative teaming, positive behavior interventions, formative assessments and Responsive Classroom/Developmental Designs practices preferred. The individual will be part of collaborative teams including other allied arts teachers, classroom teachers, special educators and interventionists. The school maintains impassioned faculty, personalized beliefs about success for all children, and a caring, safe school culture. We seek a creative, passionate teacher who loves working with children. A sense of humor and genuine love for working with young people is a necessity. The district provides mentorship and a supportive administration. We seek to provide quality World Language instruction to the children in our rural schools.
The Kingdom East School District is located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have “choice” and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools -- Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy -- or another high school of their choosing.
We are located about 3 hours from Montreal, Boston and Portland, ME.
