Position Overview:
Kingdom Heights Preparatory School, a ministry of The Rock Family Worship Center, is seeking a dedicated and faith-driven Elementary Teacher (K-2) to nurture academic excellence and spiritual growth in young learners. The ideal candidate will create a dynamic, engaging, and supportive classroom environment while integrating biblical principles into daily instruction.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education from an accredited university.
- Certification: Valid Alabama teaching certification with appropriate subject area endorsement(s) and grade level.
- Skills: Strong instructional abilities, classroom management, and commitment to faith-based education.
Key Responsibilities:
Faith-Based Instruction & Leadership
- Integrate biblical principles into daily lessons and classroom culture.
- Serve as a Christ-like role model in interactions with students, staff, and families.
- Actively participate in chapel services, devotionals, and school-wide faith initiatives.
Engaging & Effective Teaching
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods to create an interactive learning environment.
Student Support & Classroom Management
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom culture.
- Establish and uphold clear expectations for student behavior.
- Regularly assess student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.
Communication & Collaboration
- Maintain open, professional communication with parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Provide timely feedback on student progress and development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently lift/move 10-25 lbs, and constantly lift/move up to 10 lbs.
Additional Information:
- Contract Term: 189 days
- Salary: Based on education and experience.
