Position Overview:
Leading a diverse team who are committed to serve the world’s most vulnerable with practical and compassionate care, the Executive Director oversees the implementation of KII’s vision, mission, and objectives. S/he will be overseeing a business’s strategic vision and leading business decisions to drive organizational growth. A successful Executive Director candidate will have various prerequisite skills and qualifications needed to manage their role effectively, including experience in a senior managerial role, in-depth knowledge of the industry and leadership qualities.
Key Activity Areas:
1. Leadership and Management
- Mature Christian person, based on Christian values; has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is above reproach in integrity and honesty.
- Commit to cultivating and preserving an organizational culture of trust, transparency, diversity, equity, and inclusion across the team.
- Uphold a culture of integrity through ethical decision-making, safeguarding and compliance with the Code of Conduct.
- Create a culture of accountability for highly effective communication systems and relationships to ensure every voice matters.
- Collaborate with the president and the board of directors to identify, create, and implement strategic plans to actualize organization’s objectives.
- Serve as a non-voting board member to the Kingdom Investment International US board.
2. External Relations Management
- Focal point for relationships with relevant funding partners (major donors, donors, institutional donors or governmental grants opportunities) to secure potential funding for the organization and its programs. Balance the programs funding portfolio and oversee the full cycle of proposals, operational and financial reports in collaboration with the senior field managers and staff to insure successful implementation of programs.
- Identify potential sources of investment and organize fundraising efforts.
- Represent the organization at social, congregational settings and corporate events in ways that strengthen the brand and communicate the organization’s message to donors for new and potential partnership.
3. Administrative & Financial Management
- Ensure budgeting allows for appropriate funding level of all operations, positions, assets, and departments.
- Manage the spending within the programs in-line with the approved budgets.
- Analyze projected cash flow, decide on the timing of major procurements, oversee audits, and anticipate where over or under spending may occur and ensure good communication with all parties.
- Ensure sufficient and appropriate controls are in place to ensure good quality, accountability, and controls of our operations.
- Ensure continuance of programs through an ongoing analysis of and appropriate response to context changes, mission, program, and beneficiary needs, donor positioning, lessons learned, and best practices.
- Ensure timely and adequate cooperation with Legal regarding review and approval of agreements (MOUs, contracts, etc.) in conjunction with the field management team.
4. Staff Management
- Recruit, manage, motivate, and onboard an informed, skilled, and efficient team with an emphasis on high quality impact, inclusion and achievement.
- Encourage a team culture of growth, learning, creativity, and innovation by incorporating a culture of continuous feedback, development, and performance management.
- Monitor company operations and ensure employees and business practices comply with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Gather evidence of program impact through robust agency standard procedures for data gathering, reporting, and evaluating program outputs and outcomes.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities within the organization and its environment to protect organization objectives.
- Provide human resource oversight of staff including timely evaluations, mentoring, coaching and identification and resolution of problems, concerns, legal issues, and conflicts.
5. Operations & Quality
- Support and oversee the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on the implementation of the planned activities in accordance with the project proposals and logical frameworks.
- Organize training, workshops, etc. to train staff on quality, lessons learned, develop standard documentation and operations for rapid responses as well as transition programming.
- Team Spiritual Life
- Reflect the values of Kingdom Investment International, INC. with team members, local staff, beneficiaries, and external contacts.
- Ensure the health and spiritual growth of the organization through discipleship programs, personal modeling and fostering of transparent, accountable relationships within the organization.

6. Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in a relevant subject such as Management/Development Studies/Business Administration or in a relevant technical subject.
- Strong working knowledge of English and French (spoken and written).
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience in dealing with donors and officials, excellent networking, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies
- Experience in the design, monitoring of implementation and evaluation of humanitarian development services.
- Visionary and organizational leadership skills; Strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Team-player with high emotional intelligence and conflict resolution skills.
- Capacity to work under pressure and manage personal stress levels, resilient and perseverant.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: May be asked to travel internationally 1-2 times per year
