What's the job?
- Processing Subject Access Requests (“SARs”) and Data Requests from customers, employees and third parties, dealing with them promptly and in compliance with GDPR. Operating a diary management system to ensure legal deadlines are met.
- Checking Data Protection mailbox on a regular basis to ensure allocated matters are picked up, actioned, and escalated as appropriate to the Data Protection team.
- Redacting SARs including supporting the Data Protection Advisors with redacting as and when required.
- Liaising with data subjects and their representatives on non-complex data requests and SARs.
- Supporting the Data Protection Partner where appropriate.
- Assisting the Data Protection team in legal records management and filing, and archiving.
- Managing legal risk and seeking guidance where appropriate.
- Supporting the Data Protection Partner in ad-hoc data protection/Legal team initiatives.
What you'll bring
- Some legal experience
- Good knowledge of English (min. B2)
- Experience in dealing with consumer matters including communicating with customers (both written and verbal)
- Experience in dealing with high volume caseloads
- Organisation, accuracy, and eye for detail
- Excellent word processing skills
