Position Purpose: The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis provides strategic financial insights to support executive decision-making and long-term organizational success. This role is instrumental in developing financial models, evaluating business performance, and identifying opportunities to enhance financial sustainability. By leveraging data-driven analysis, the Director ensures alignment between financial strategies and Kingman Regional Medical Center’s operational goals, contributing to the organization’s continued growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Executive Leadership Team to support the development of strategic and operating goals for all areas of the enterprise to help Kingman achieve its strategic goals.
- Responsible for working with the Executive Leadership Team on developing, approving, implementing, and tracking the financial plan portion of the organization’s annual and five-year strategic, capital and financial plans.
- Supervises and directs accurate, reliable, timely financial planning and analysis processes.
- Establishes and maintains policies and procedures to ensure accurate collection, summarization, reporting, and interpretation of budget, cost, statistical, and outcomes data.
- Works closely with the Director of Finance and Controller to develop and produce financial reports and support the overall success of the Finance function.
- Performs detailed analysis of product lines, clinical and physician profiles, and resource utilization, including employed physician profitability analysis. Develops appropriate mechanisms to report findings within established deadlines and facilitates the acceptance of such data.
- Conducts analysis and recommends leadership initiatives to improve the financial viability of employed physicians and advanced practitioners.
- Analyzes financial performance data to identify and isolate variances from expected results. Assesses identified variances and recommends to the leaders responsible for the area in question to mitigate or otherwise address variances.
- Develops and recommends policies, procedures, and processes to provide operational managers with the information needed to successfully meet the organization's needs. Mentors and participates in training and development with non-financial managers on the financial dynamics of their areas of responsibility.
- Responsible for ongoing teaching and coaching at all organizational levels to improve managers' ability to understand and respond proactively to issues affecting the operating dynamics of their areas of responsibility.
- Work collaboratively with Corporate Compliance to ensure the organization maintains compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements. Participates in and supports the development of compliance filings such as cost reports, IRS forms, such as the 990 form, tax filings, and other matters that may affect operating revenues and expenses.
- Ensure the organization maintains a high level of integrity through thorough understanding of regulatory standards applicable to the area.
- Stay abreast of new developments in areas of responsibility and proposes use of new processes or use of technology when appropriate and cost effective.
- Maintain strict patient and organizational confidentiality.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years' experience practicing accounting or financial planning and analysis (FP&A) in healthcare-related non-profits
Preferences: Master's Degree in Business or equivalent; Experience with acute hospital(s) is highly desired; Certified Public Accountant desired.
