Position: CTE Teacher - Education Professions
Campus: Lee Williams High School and Kingman High School
School Year: 2025-26 (July 9, 2025-May 20, 2026)
Program Description:
The Education Professions program is designed to prepare high school students for employment and/or postsecondary opportunities in the field of education. The program provides instruction in education career choices, education structure and systems, theories, history, pedagogy, developmental stages, learning styles and instructional methods. The Education Professions program also provides interactive experiences with students at different age levels in a variety of content areas in different educational environments. Education Professions is designed to articulate with the Introduction to Education courses at the community college level as well as paraprofessional preparation programs. In addition to technical skills, students completing this program will develop advanced critical thinking skills, enhanced academic skills, develop civic responsibility, and comprehend the stages of human development and their impact on learning in the classroom.

Compensation:
- Base Pay: KUSD's minimum and maximum new hire salary ranges for teachers include the district's contracted salary, determined by years of experience and higher education, plus state-funded Prop 301 money. The contracted salary in combination with $8,500 in 301 money creates the base wages for teachers, which are represented by the salary ranges. (Prop 301 money is paid separately and not included in the employment contract.)
- The salary range for candidates with up to four years of teaching experience is $45,575 - $55,475.
- The salary range for candidates with four or more years of teaching experience is $47,575 - $57,475.
- Performance Pay: In addition to base pay, certified teaching staff are eligible for an additional $4,500 in Prop 301 performance pay
To Qualify:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, AND
- An Identity Verified Print (IVP) fingerprint clearance card through Arizona Department of Public Safety, or ability to obtain prior to start date, AND
- Teaching certification through Arizona Department of Education: One of the following: AND
- SCTET Secondary Career and Technical Education: Education and Training
- SSCTET Standard Specialized Career and Technical Education and Training
- SCTF Standard Career and Technical Education Family Consumer Sciences
