Part time Laundry Attendant

Hours: 25 to 30 hours per week
Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor or Facility Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Part-Time Laundry Clerk to join our housekeeping team. This role is responsible for processing linens and assisting with various housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Laundry Processing:

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, and clothing according to facility standards.
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure that laundry items are handled with care to prevent damage or loss.
• Monitor and replenish laundry supplies, such as detergents and fabric softeners.

Housekeeping Support:

• Perform general cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing common areas.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness in designated spaces such as restrooms, hallways, and laundry rooms.
• Report any maintenance issues or supply shortages to the supervisor promptly.

Resident Interaction:

• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, addressing their needs or concerns related to laundry or housekeeping.
• Ensure the privacy and dignity of residents are maintained at all times.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Previous experience in laundry services, housekeeping, or a similar role (preferred but not required).
• Skills:
• Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning practices and safety procedures.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift, carry, and move laundry bags or supplies weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Comfortable standing, walking, and performing physical tasks for extended periods.
• Other Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends if needed.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $15.10 per hour

Expected hours: 29 per week
