JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination of regulatory and compliance auditing of family data and child care provider files of the child care subsidy programs including providing support and training to CCAP staff. This position is also responsible for submission of monthly caseload data auditing reports to the CCAP management team and maintaining up to date with changes in the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) contracts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize quality assurance tools, monitoring all program options ensuring programs are following CDSS regulations.
- Complete monthly reports for the CCAP management team regarding programmatic outcomes of the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) and Kings County Human Services Agency programs.
- Assists Child Care Supervisor in the implementation of training and orientation of new staff as needed.
- Stay current with regulations and programmatic changes initiated by California Department of Social Services (CDSS).
- Work with Child Care Supervisor to provide ongoing training and technical assistance to staff, childcare providers and parents regarding program eligibility, attendance and reimbursement policies and procedures and subsequent changes.
- Assists CCAP Management team with the development and implementation of department forms, policies, and procedures to ensure contract compliance.
- Develops, coordinates, and analyzes monthly family data file audits to ensure compliance and staff development.
- Act as a substitute for Child Care Enrollment Specialist if staff is unavailable.
- Receive and respond to walk-ins and phone calls from Child Care Assistance Program participants and community regarding child care services.
- Meet regularly with Child Care Supervisor regarding program status.
- Work with Child Care Manager on funder required program self-evaluation, reports and the timely submission of state and county reports as needed.
- Assists Child Care Director with continuous quality improvement of data management.
- Attend local and out of town meetings, conferences and workshops as required.
- Perform other duties as required.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate's degree in Business Administration or related subject AND
- Minimum of one (1) year of intake/eligibility or relevant experience which would provide the skills, knowledge, and ability to perform the essential functions of the position in either a non-profit or governmental environment.
OR
- High School Diploma or (Equivalent) AND
- Minimum of Three (3) years of intake/eligibility or relevant experience which would provide the skills, knowledge, and ability to perform the essential functions of the position in either a non-profit or governmental environment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Travel and attend out of area meetings and conferences as required per the funding source(s).
- Work variable hours and days, including those outside regular Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. business hours.
- Meet and maintain KCAO employment requirements which include:
- Criminal Record Clearance through the California Department of Justice, FBI, and Child Abuse Centralized Index (CACI).
- Reliable, insured transportation and valid California Driver License.
- Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) acceptable to KCAO's vehicle insurer.
- Health examination with tuberculin clearance.
- Ability to be contacted outside of regularly scheduled work hours in case of emergency.
