JOB SUMMARY

Valet Services is responsible for the assisting customers with full valet parking service, monitors parking areas for security infractions and safety violations, and assist Safety/Security Department as needed to enforce KDMC rules and policies.

Overall performance rating of below indicated essential job duties:
Operates all types and sizes of non-CDL vehicles including KDMC shuttle vehicle
Greets customers at entrance areas and parks vehicles in appropriate area as requested
Assists customers with personal device removal from vehicle including wheelchairs, walkers, oxygen, etc.
Monitors parking areas and other external areas of the campus. Reports unusual situations to Security Officers and assists with incidents, as appropriate
Responsible for safeguarding and appropriate placement of customers' keys
Responsible for performing all aspects of Valet including Shuttle, Main Desk, the Hut, the Circle, and Valet
Assists with Operation Snowflake as needed.
Successfully completes a UK King's Daughters approved driving course and test annually and as requested.

Minimum requirement:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Three years of driving experience
Valid driver's license with no incidents in driving history
Successful completion of UK King's Daughters approved driving course and test

Operate standard and automatic vehicles

Constantly required to operate a motor vehicle.
Constantly exposed to weather conditions which may be adverse and will vary depending on daily changes
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Constantly exposed to exhaust and automobile fumes.

Constantly required to position self in order to operate vehicles of all sizes
Constantly required to lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds.
Frequently required to lift and/or move items up to 100 pounds.

Constantly required to communicate with patients and other care team requiring talking and hearing
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
