What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ortho Tech - RFT - Ortho Clinic position at KINGS DAUGHTERS MEDICAL CENTER?
The Orthopedic Technician assists with direct patient care activities as directed by the Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or Staff Physician. Perform a variety of orthopedic related activities including applying/removing dressings,
applying/removing casts, and splints, assist with medical procedures as needed based on level of training and
rooming of patients. Performs clerical and other duties as directed.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday
8am - 5pm
Education
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- Completion of an Orthopedic Technology program preferred.
Experience
- Prefer one year's work experience in orthopedic field and preferably in a medical office setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology desirable.
- Electronic health record experience.
Certification/Licensure
- Orthopedic Technologist certification preferred.
- Current CPR required.
- Current Limited X-Ray Machine Operator Permit issued by the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure preferred.
Physical Demands
- Must possess the physical stamina necessary to provide patient care, at times in large numbers, and in an expedient manner.
