What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Asst. - RFT - LDRP position at KINGS DAUGHTERS MEDICAL CENTER?
The Patient Care Assistant will be responsible for duties as assigned by the shift supervisor or the nurse manager each shift.
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and Rapid Response participation.
- Pulse oximetry, etc.
- May do blood glucose checks once skill check off has been completed.
- Operation of all equipment in accordance with departmental policy
- Quality control processes with all equipment.
- Accurate & timely documentation of all treatment/care rendered.
- Active participation in the departments Quality Programs.
- Equipment cleaning, disinfection, reassembling and troubleshooting.
- Participation in in-service education programs offered.
- Attend departmental meetings.
- Maintain departmental records.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Currently enrolled as last year student of an approved Registered Nurse Program (2nd year of AD program or 4th year of BSN program).
- Nurse Extern completion preferred.
- Experience in Customer Service desired.
- Basic Life Support Certification required.
- RN Board eligible by end of 1st year employed.
- Ability to communicate with patients, staff, and providers.
