Responsibilities :
- Gain practical experience working closely with our Human Resources team in a supportive role.
- Network with fellow college interns and build professional relationships.
- Engage with park leadership and management through valuable learning opportunities.
- Attend informative business seminars led by park leaders to explore various aspects of the theme park business (Culinary, Finance, HR, Marketing, Park Operations, Retail, Workforce Planning, etc.).
Human Resource Intern Opportunities :
Associate Services Coordinator : Support the HR team by addressing general inquiries, managing wardrobe distribution, overseeing inventory sales, and laundering uniforms.Bridge USA Program Coordinator : Facilitate arrival plans for Bridge students, assist in onboarding, and organize engaging events for the program.Employee Housing Coordinator : Assist employees staying in our housing facilities with check-in / check-out and provide necessary support.Employment Center Coordinator : Help with scheduling and completing employee onboarding, managing work permits, and responding to HR inquiries.HR Compliance Coordinator : Aid in auditing employee records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining our HRIS.L&D Trainer : Support employee onboarding and development, teaching training sessions, and managing our learning management system (LMS).Recruiting Coordinator : Assist in job fairs, participate in remote recruiting events, monitor applications, and support the hiring process.Volunteer Program Coordinator : Manage the park’s volunteer program by coordinating with various groups and seeking new participants.Please note that management reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time.
Qualifications :
A formal resume is required to be submitted with your application to be considered for this position.Must be 18 years of age or older.Currently pursuing a college degree or recently graduated (within 180 days of program start date).Able to commit to working at Kings Dominion and fulfill internship requirements during one of the following periods :SPRING : February through April / May
SUMMER : May / June through AugustFALL : August / September through DecemberSPRING & SUMMER : February through AugustSUMMER & FALL : May / June through DecemberWillingness to work at least 16 hours per week, including availability on weekends and during peak days for program activities.Comfortable working in various indoor and outdoor settings, adaptable to different weather conditions (rain, heat, snow, wind, etc.).
