Kings Atlanta is a To The Trade wholesale business located in the heart of the Westside Design District of Atlanta, GA. We offer a casual work environment and are looking for a creative, self-motivated Design Assistant to support high-end interior design projects. In addition to design support, the role includes limited social media responsibilities to help maintain our online presence. You will work directly with the President of the Company and the Marketing Director to ensure project success and brand consistency. Prior training or experience working in interior design is required. This is NOT an entry level position.
Responsibilities:
Interior Design Assistance:
- Collaborate closely with the President to support sales and execution of high-end interior design projects.
- Conduct design research and prepare customer presentations, mood boards, and detailed proposals/quotes.
- Review custom products, ensuring accurate measurements, hardware, finishes, and materials are documented.
- Utilize QuickBooks to document project details, track job progress, and follow-up on active projects.
- Engage with vendors regarding product pricing, availability, lead times, and shipping logistics.
- Prepare purchase orders, manage supplier follow-ups, and track shipments.
- Create progress reports and final invoicing for clients.
- Employ Canva and other design software to develop client presentations and project visualizations.
- Take field measurements as needed.
Social Media Support:
- Assist with creating and posting engaging content on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
- Help maintain consistency in branding and messaging across social media channels.
- Support the Marketing Director in monitoring engagement and managing responses to comments and inquiries.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma. Interior Design or related degree or experience.
- Minimum of 1-year interior design experience in a similar support role.
- Exceptional attitude, passion for design, professional comportment and maturity.
- Ability to work in a fast-pace environment with urgency and minimal supervision.
- Willingness to learn software, esp. Quickbooks and Microsoft Office suite.

- Strong verbal, written and arithmetical skills.
- Must have interest in sales and building relationships.
- Driver's License, reliable transportation.
- Dependable work schedule on-site Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Physical Requirements:
- Required to stand, walk, and have the ability to reach overhead.
- Ability to lift and mobilize small to medium items up to 25 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Ability to maneuver effectively around showroom floor, warehouse, and office.
- Position entails prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and climbing, including stairs.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus and ability to write, count, and read required company paperwork.
- Must have the ability to travel locally and out-of-state.

Location:
This is a full-time, in-office position in our Atlanta, GA office/showroom/warehouse working with the public. Occasional local and out-of-state travel as interior design engagements require.
Verification:
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
Compensation and Benefits:
$25/hr plus incentive compensation/commission and paid holidays/time off. Performance/salary review after 90 days.
