The Role : Accounting Manager

You are an experienced accounting professional with a history of several years of GAAP / IFRS accounting experience. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, managing daily accounting functions, and supporting the organization's financial goals through effective leadership and process improvements. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

What You'll Do :
- Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports and ensure compliance with GAAP / IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
- Manage monthly and annual closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Establish, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with external auditors to support audit processes.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and provide variance analyses and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and file monthly sales tax and annual reports in multiple states.
- Limited Accounts Payable and Receivable processing to ensure timely invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
- Process payroll for salary and hourly employees for various segments of the organization.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy, leveraging technology to automate accounting functions where possible.
- Work closely with other departments, such as finance, HR, and operations, to address accounting and financial needs.
- Lead or assist with special projects, such as system implementations, mergers, or acquisitions.
- Other duties as assigned.
