The Role: Procurement Coordinator

You are a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator who ensures production and shipping has all materials needed to fill customer orders in a timely fashion. You’ll be responsible for inputting order data, communicating with vendors, tracking shipments, and identifying cost savings and improvements to the process. You’re operationally minded and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain supply chain records for management and ensure timely placement of orders.
  • Maintain positive supplier relationships while negotiating costs and/or identifying new suppliers to reduce purchasing costs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery while addressing delays.
  • Return and track defective equipment from suppliers, ensuring compliance to supplier agreements.
  • Review lead times and report to management monthly.
  • Support strategic goals and collaborate with various departments for purchasing needs.
  • Maintain purchasing records, resolve issues, and ensure accuracy.
  • Continuously assess and improve sourcing processes, develop action plans, and provide recommendations for operational improvements.
  • Order for the warehouse; including consumables, safety equipment, operational documents, and various other items.
  • Create field purchase orders for ADI, Grainger, Graybar, and other various distributors.
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of warehouse or logistics experience, ideally in a facilities or operations setting
  • Proficient in procurement software and tools
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team
  • Experience in procurement software and tools

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to frequently move around an office & warehouse environment, including walking, standing, sitting for extended periods, reaching for files
  • Ability to occasionally lift office & warehouse supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to operate heavy warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions
