Janitor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks in assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Conduct industrial and commercial cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Carry out floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing floors.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to ensure the upkeep of the building.
• Handle custodial responsibilities including trash removal, surface cleaning, and restroom sanitation.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment issues.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning duties to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills

• Experience in porter services or custodial roles is preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and materials is beneficial.
• Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment operation.
• Strong skills in floor care techniques including buffing and waxing.
• Ability to perform residential painting tasks is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating with team members when necessary.
