Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Power BI Data Analyst to join our team in Sanger, CA. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in data visualization and analysis to transform complex datasets into actionable insights. This role requires proficiency in Power BI, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business decision-making.
Responsibilities

Dashboard and Report Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI.
- Create visually appealing and user-friendly reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Data Modeling and Transformation:
- Develop and optimize data models using Power Query and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
- Clean, transform, and prepare data from multiple sources for analysis.
- Data Integration:
- Connect Power BI to various data sources (e.g., SQL databases, Excel, APIs, cloud platforms).
- Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Work closely with business users to gather requirements and understand their data needs.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver solutions that meet business goals.
- Performance Optimization:
- Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data refresh, report rendering, and performance.
- Data Governance and Security:
- Implement row-level security (RLS) and other data governance practices to ensure data security and compliance.
- Manage user access and permissions for Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to use Power BI effectively.
- Create documentation and best practices for Power BI development and usage.
- Stay Updated with Industry Trends:
- Keep up-to-date with the latest Power BI features, tools, and industry trends.
- Recommend and implement new technologies and techniques to improve data analytics capabilities.
Compensation & Benefits
- $80,000 - $100,000, based on experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI (Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Mobile).
- Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
- Familiarity with data integration tools and ETL processes.
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.
- Proficiency in data visualization best practices and design principles.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and their integration with Power BI is a plus.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Power BI Certification (e.g., PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst).
- Experience with advanced analytics and machine learning integration in Power BI.
- Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and visualization.
- Experience with Power BI embedded and custom visuals.
Physical Demands & Abilities
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time, working from a computer, talking on the phone.
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs.
- Onsite work schedule Monday – Friday with flexibility as needed.
