General Description and Qualifications: Kings Way Christian Schools is a private, Christian school dedicated to serving students from 12 months through 12th grade in beautiful Vancouver, Washington. Kings Way partners with families to provide a Christ-centered education for the whole child, leading to life change in each student.
We are currently seeking a Campaign Assistant to join our Advancement Department and provide critical support for The Way Forward Campaign. This position, under the supervision of the Director of Community Engagement, will assist with the organization of campaign-related meetings and follow-up plans, coordination of small group gatherings, planning of various activities, large campaign events, and related communications, and assisting with grant applications. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about building relationships to further the mission of Kings Way.
Job Duties:
- Help manage and coordinate community engagement meetings on and off campus in one-on-one, small group and large group settings.
- Organize and monitor follow-up processes within the community engagement department.
- Support event scheduling, guest invitations and RSVP tracking.
- Manage room/venue reservations, catering and audio/video orders, purchasing and billing.
- Oversee attendee follow-up communications.
- Actively participate in relevant department meetings, direct report check-ins, and campaign stakeholder meetings.
- Provide clerical support during meetings by documenting action plans.
- Collaborate with the Advancement and Community Engagement Teams in creating print and digital communications for campaign-related gatherings and events.
- Assist the Director of Community Engagement in developing and distributing community engagement content via digital and print media, including website updates, social media posts, letters, emails, podcasts, invitations, videos, and slides.
- Collaborate with external partners to develop campaign materials.
- Provide clerical support as needed for Community Engagement, campaign priorities, and the Kings Way mission.
Position Details: $19.45 - $22.45 based on experience. Part-time, 20 hours per week, prefer 5 days per week, mornings preferred, some after-hours events required, certain meetings require attendance. Some travel required, typically local for off-site events, remote work available when possible.
This position is one of three part-time opportunities currently available within the Advancement Department. Candidates with the requisite skills and experience may be considered for a combination of two positions, which together would qualify for full-time employment and benefits eligibility. The other available positions are Alumni Coordinator and Advancement Assistant. Applicants interested in multiple roles should indicate their preferences in their application.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated commitment to Kings Way Statement of Faith, in word and practice.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to build relationships with people from a variety of backgrounds.
- Ability to understand and communicate Kings Ways mission and goals, and champion both Christian education and the schools vision.
- Proficiency in Google Suite applications (Drive, Docs, Slides, Forms, Sheets, Meet) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience in data entry and reporting from databases.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong forecasting, scheduling, and organizational aptitude.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively, positively, and courteously with colleagues, constituents, and the public.
- Strong decision-making skills to manage multiple projects, meet varied deadlines, and handle shifting priorities.
- High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information.
- The selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in event planning.
- Experience in donor relations.
- Project management experience.
- Experience working with a Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) database.
- Completion of an accredited certificate or degree program in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Experience and/or interest in private K-12 schools, either as a student, parent, family member, or employee.
