What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Technician position at Kingsley Animal Hospital?
Our integrative hospital is looking for a like-minded & outgoing individual to join our team with a part-time position. We believe the combination of natural and conventional medicine is key for our pet’s healthcare. As a kennel tech, your job is very important as you are at the forefront of animal care. These pets depend on you to be their voice! As such, reliability is a REQUIREMENT. Constant call outs will not be tolerated. You must be at least 18yrs of age with reliable transportation.
Job Description includes but is not limited to:
-Be able to work independently on projects as well as part of a team.
-Caring for boarding or hospitalized patients (making sure bedding is not soiled, fresh water/food, enrichment, etc).
-Must be physically capable of lifting up to 40lbs and able to stand or walk for most of the day.
-Must have the ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in written and oral form.
- General cleaning and upkeep of the hospital such as: Trash collection, vacuuming/mopping floors, laundry/dishes, sanitizing kennels, making sure essentials are kept in stock and available.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 25 per week
Shift:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
