What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Driver (Full time/Part time) position at Kingsmill Resort?
Overview: This position is responsible for transporting clean linen to locations around the resort property and picking up dirty linens to be sent out for cleaning by third party vendor. Reports to the Housekeeping Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Follows all policy, procedures and service standards.
- Loads and unloads cargo including clean and soiled linens.
- Prior to daily runs, inspects vehicles.
- Ensures prompt and accurate and timely deliveries are made adhering to scheduled deliveries.
- Receives soiled linen recording items, counts, and weights linen to be sent out recording the information on the laundry log form.
- Performs daily routine maintenance checks on vehicle driven for deliveries per company policy and reports any identified issues or any issues that arise during operation immediately to supervisor.
- Cleans delivery vehicle inside and out ensuring it is a positive reflection on the laundry department around the property.
- Accurately stacks, counts, and loads clean linens into laundry bins for stocking linen huts around the condo units.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- High School or equivalent.
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry between 50 pounds up to 75 pounds with assistance continuously throughout the shift, sit, stand and walk, bend, twist, climb up to three flights of stairs frequently working in a variety of outdoor weather conditions including (IE hot/cold/rain/snow) with the ability to withstand prolonged exposure to sunlight during an 8 hour shift with the ability to withstand constant movement of extremities, and perform repetitive hand, wrist and foot action.
- Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately and work with minimal supervision to complete assigned tasks.
- Possess the ability to read and write in order to perform the duties of the position.
- Possess general mechanical skills with the ability to identify issues from inspection of vehicle.
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays.
