Responsibilities :
The Divisional Project Engineering Manager will deliver robust and compliant process improvements and lead engineering projects throughout the insulated panel division.
Responsibilities include :
- Provide complete project proposals incorporating budget costs, timescales involved, selected supplier(s), installation and commissioning plan.
- Manage Engineering projects from conception to final signoff.
- Apply for Cap-Ex approval on defined project proposals, recommending value added improvement initiatives where appropriate.
- Ensure clear communication with local operations teams and senior management through the entire process.
- Provide structured / technical progress reports on the project milestones to management and project stakeholders.
- Ensure strict adherence to timescales, ensuring all equipment is installed safely and efficiently.
- Oversee documented signoff upon final functional assessment.
- Establish post-project support during the initial startup and until the project achieves trouble-free operation.
- Integrate and set up panel production equipment and production lines.
- Support the local engineering teams and personnel in the management of problematic production issues, which impact Safety, Quality, or process stability improvements.
- Assess new and existing suppliers for future suitability; Negotiate with suppliers and contractors regarding equipment specification, pricing, and lead time.
- Maintain and develop relationships with key internal and external customers and facilitate liaison with management / design / operations staff; and
- Attend training to develop relevant self-knowledge and technical skills.
Requirements & Qualifications :
Employer requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related engineering field and at least five (5) years of work experience as a project engineer or in a related occupation managing engineering projects from conception through specification design phase.
Alternatively, employer is willing to accept three (3) years of post-secondary education in an electrical engineering, electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, or closely related engineering program in lieu of a bachelor's degree in engineering, and at least five (5) years of work experience as a project engineer or in a related occupation managing engineering projects from conception through specification design phase.
In addition, the employer requires the following :
All years of experience and projects may be gained concurrently.
Telecommuting is an option as long as the employee is based in the Modesto, CA region as the employee must conduct regular visits to company offices in the Modesto, CA region.
Travel Requirement : 25% per year domestic travel and 10% per year international travel required.
Salary : One hundred fifteen thousand two hundred fifty-three dollars to one hundred twenty-five thousand two hundred fifty-three dollars per year.
