We are looking for a Human Resources Coordinator for our Deland, FL office!
Position Summary: We are seeking an HR Coordinator to join our team, where you will play a dual role, focusing on both HR administrative functions and talent acquisition. As the HR Coordinator, you will support the HR department by providing assistance in various administrative tasks and contribute to our talent acquisition efforts to help us build a talented and dynamic workforce.
Essential Functions
General HR activities and employee support:
- Serve as an initial point of contact for employee questions, issues, or requests.
- Provide HR support to plant employees, including visiting the local plant to administer open enrollment presentations and assisting with HRIS access/issues.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures, including the Employee Handbook.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing paperwork, scheduling orientations, and ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Handle offboarding procedures, advising managers and ensuring the exit process is efficient and compliant with company policies.
- Manage and maintain HR documentation including employee records ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, data security and compliance with regulations.
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks within HR/TA systems, including data entry, recordkeeping, workflow updates, etc. to ensure compliance to regulatory and company policies.
- Coordinate team relations surveys, meetings, and activities.
- Prepare Human Resources metric, reports, and other information requests.
- Assist with HR projects, initiatives and provide administrative support to HR team members as required.
- General HR and general office duties
Support Our Talent Acquisition Activities:
- Support the recruiting team and hiring managers with various activities including application processing, candidate screening, document preparation, travel arrangements, etc.
- Work closely with our recruiters and candidates during the interview process by coordinating and scheduling phone, video, and in-person interviews for candidates with speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, including paperwork completion and communication.
- Maintain internal and external job postings.
Other activities:
- Serve as a Safety Committee Member and perform monthly office Safety Checks.
- Contribute to other human resources/talent acquisition projects and assignments as needed.
Additional Compliance Responsibilities:

Education and Experience
- Requires an associate degree in a human resource related field. A bachelor's degree and/or PHR/SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
- Requires minimum of 1 year of experience in an HR or Talent Acquisition department (3 years of experience is preferred).
- Experience with HRIS or ATS: UKG, UltiPro, or Kronos is strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat advanced skills are preferred.
Other Skills and Requirements:
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (UKG preferred).
- Understanding of HR and recruitment best practices.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excels at interacting and communicating at all levels within the organization.
- Action oriented and organized with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent follow-through skills.
- Resourceful, flexible, and shift priorities quickly.
