We are looking for a Maintenance Technician for our Modesto, CA facility!
Summary:
Responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment, and machinery. Perform regular inspections, identify issues, and carry out necessary repairs to ensure functionality and safety of all machinery.
Essential Duties:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by implementing and enforcing safety guidelines and procedures. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Adhere to compliance code of conduct, uphold clear, ethical, and honest business communications. Maintain legal compliance and uphold commitment to a more sustainable future.
- Report issues to the Maintenace Supervisor or Manager through the appropriate escalation procedure and communicate information gathered on shift to all team members and manager.
- Ensure good practices are being followed for inventory management, parts ordering, housekeeping, and other maintenance administrative tasks to ensure the long-term continuous improvement of the department.
- Troubleshooting and repairs through diagnostics of electrical issues, this will involve working with various monitoring equipment and diagnostics methods.
- Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
- Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears
- Utilize blueprints, electrical schematic wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects, or identification of equipment failures
- Service and maintain equipment such as motors, generators, control panels, PLC’c, VFD’s and safety circuits.
- General facility maintenance as required, including structure, lighting, doors, HVAC, etc
- Conduct, Uphold & Stimulate routine planned maintenance activities and record within CMM system
- Promotes a sense of urgency and supports all Health and Safety initiatives
- Sustain structured communication
- Hands-On electrical / mechanical repairs to a variety of equipment
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma required
- Strong understanding of Electrical systems, power distribution, wiring circuits, electrical safety, codes, blueprint reading and schematics.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment with automated machinery and processing equipment.
- 5 years’ experience in the electrical discipline
- Forklift/Scissor lift/Arial Work Platform license preferable
Other Skills and Requirements:
- Start time flexibility as the Swing Shift follows the production schedule
- Prepared to work 10-hour shift
- Be available for overtime as needed or required by management and flexibility in times taken for breaks / lunches to support production and maintenance activities
- Experience in a continuous automated production environment is essential
- Strong troubleshooting ability
- Basic Automation skillset
- Must be a demonstrated decision-maker who uses a 'hands-on' approach
- Proven ability to complete tasks within specified timeline.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem solving and communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, Windows and e-mail
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
