What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician- Day Shift position at Kingspan Insulation LLC?
Essential Duties:
Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Independently performs preventative maintenance and equipment repairs.
2. Troubleshoots and resolves mechanical and electrical issues (e.g., contactors, bearings,
sensors).
3. Assists in equipment installations and modifications for insulation production equipment.
4. Performs changeovers on production line equipment with efficiency.
5. Conducts detailed inspections and maintenance checks on RTO systems, chillers, and
related components.
6. Follows safety protocols when maintaining systems handling hazardous materials,
including methyl formate, butane, propane, and cyclopentane.
7. Monitors CMMS systems, logs work orders, and assists in parts inventory tracking.
8. Participates in special projects aimed at improving equipment efficiency and
performance.
9. Mentors Level 1 Technicians, assisting with training and skills development.
10. Promotes and enforces all safety protocols, including Process Safety Management (PSM)
compliance.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience in maintenance roles within a manufacturing environment.
Skills and Competencies:
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and basic electrical
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose issues efficiently and propose solutions.
- Adaptability: Adjust to changes in priorities and operational needs.
- Safety Compliance: Understanding of hazardous material protocols and equipment
- CMMS Utilization: Ability to track and update work orders in CMMS systems.
Work Environment
- Frequent climbing, stooping, lifting (30-50 lbs), and exposure to confined spaces.
- Work with electrical hazards, moving equipment, and hazardous chemicals.
