Summary Description
This position works closely with the Plant Manager to ensure effective and efficient running of the Miami manufacturing plant. The overarching objective is to ensure products are manufactured in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications while ensuring the health and safety of the workforce. The Production Manager will oversee daily operations of multiple departments under the Plant Manager’s direction. This key leader will oversee production in a manner that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity. Working with the Plant Manager to strengthen the culture of the employee base and the productivity of the manufacturing operations are key performance attributes that will be required for this position.

Education and/or Experience: A Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED plus 10 years of manufacturing or equivalent experience, with at least 6 years in a management position, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the above knowledge, skills and abilities.

- Maintains a clean and safe production area.
- Provides support for strict adherence to Kingspan’s Compliance Program.
- Plans, organizes, directs and runs optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
- Increases production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Is responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping.
- Allocates resources effectively and fully utilizes assets to produce optimal results.
- Provides a clear sense of direction and focus to the Production Team.
- Monitors operations and triggers corrective actions.
- Shares a trusting relationship with workgroup.
- Manages and develops production staff.
- Collects and analyzes data to find places of waste or overtime.
- Develops systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
- Knowledge and management of SAP system.
- Effectively listens to and resolves employees’ issues, concerns, conflicts, or complaints.
- Aids in the development of staff.
- Institutes employee suggestions or involvement programs.
- Stays current with the latest production management best practices and concepts.
- Attends scheduled trainings and meetings.
- Conducts employee performance reviews.
